The Egyptians buried important pharaohs in pyramids along the Nile River, and sometimes buried the pharaoh's wives and husbands alive with them. They wrote using hieroglyphics, worshipped cats as gods, and relied on the Nile River for farming irrigation and drinking water. Egyptian society had social classes and discrimination, such as Jewish slaves.
